User Guide

How to use MyJobray from setup to application tracking.

This guide explains the core workflow: install the extension, verify your email, search supported job sites, review AI-assisted results, and track application progress.

Quick Workflow

The extension is designed around one repeatable flow: set up your account, run a search, review jobs, then track what you do next.

1 Install

Add the extension to your browser.

→
2 Verify email

Bind an email for account recovery.

→
3 Search jobs

Choose sites, keywords, location, and job count.

→
4 Review results

Use AI summaries, match scores, filters, and duplicates.

→
5 Track progress

Update each job timeline as you view or apply.

1. Install and Open the Extension

  1. Install MyJobray from the official download or approved browser extension listing.
  2. Open the extension from your browser toolbar.
  3. If your browser asks for site access permissions, allow access for the supported job sites you plan to search.

Supported English job sources currently include LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, and Monster. Availability may depend on each job site, browser permissions, login status, and anti-abuse checks.

2. Verify Your Email

Email verification links your extension access to an account. This helps recover access after reinstalling the extension, changing devices, or restoring a paid balance.

  1. Enter your email address when prompted.
  2. Check your inbox for the verification code.
  3. Enter the code in the extension to complete verification.

3. Optional: Upload a Resume for AI Matching

Uploading a resume lets MyJobray compare your background with job listings and show match-oriented insights. This is optional; you can still search jobs without uploading a resume.

What you upload

Supported formats include PDF, DOC, DOCX, and TXT files up to the size limit shown in the extension.

What you see

The extension may show a profile headline, key skills, and match scores on job results.

4. Configure a Job Search

  1. Enter a job title or keyword, such as “Product Manager” or “Data Scientist”.
  2. Enter a location, such as “Toronto”, “New York”, or “Remote”.
  3. Select the job sites you want to search.
  4. Choose the number of jobs per site/location.
  5. Optionally enter excluded keywords to hide unwanted roles.
  6. Click the search button and keep the browser open while the extension works.

Free users can process up to 30 jobs. Pro users can use purchased balance for additional usage and access Pro-only result actions.

5. Read the Results Page

Top progress bar

Shows AI processing progress until all available results are displayed.

Filters and duplicates

Filter by source, salary range, and duplicate visibility.

Job cards

Review title, company, location, AI summary, match score, notes, and timeline.

AI output is intended to help you review listings faster. You should still read the original job posting before applying or making employment decisions.

6. Track Applications with the Timeline

Each result can include an application timeline. Use it to record where each opportunity stands.

A Found

Job discovered in search.

→
B Viewed

Open the job detail page.

→
C Resume sent

Mark when you apply or submit your resume.

→
D Interview

Record follow-up progress.

7. Pro Features and Balance

Paid users buy fixed Job Credit Packs: $1.99 for 100 job credits, $4.99 for 300 job credits, or $9.99 for 1000 job credits. Processing 1 job uses 1 job credit.

  • Application overview: review your application activity in one view.
  • Send to email: send result information to your verified email.
  • Export PDF: export the results page for offline review.
  • Top up: add balance when you need to process more jobs.

8. Troubleshooting

No jobs found

Try a broader keyword, a different location, fewer filters, or confirm the selected job site is accessible.

Site permission error

Open your browser extension settings and allow MyJobray to access the selected job site.

Balance or Pro status looks wrong

Verify your email, use Restore in the extension, then reopen the popup after the status refreshes.
